Miracle worker

"Language is more important to the mind, than light is to the eye." -Annie Sullivan

I miss my childhood!

Lately, I read Lev Tolstoy novel "Childhood Boyhood Youth". It just came from nowhere to drag this book, and finally borrowed it from Lib. At that time, before I went to the Lib, and borrowed the book, I unintentionally chatted with my friend about Lev Tolstoy, she's one of Tolstoy's biggest fans I guess, and that perhaps influent me a lot. I pretty much enjoyed the novel. I love how Tolstoy made descriptions about the journey of the story. And these are some quotes I'd recall each time I miss my childhood.

"Happy, happy childhood, that blissful time never to be recalled! How can I help loving it and cherishing its bright memories? Those memories refresh and elevate my soul, they are a source of never-ending joy to me......" -Lev Tolstoy
This following quote doesn't relate to any of childhood things, but I just love the words:

It seems to me that beauty lies in the smile alone: if the smile enhances the charm of the face, that face is beautiful; if the smile does not change it, the face is plain; if the smile spoils it, the face is ugly. - Lev Tolstoy
well, I'm continuing my reading. Bye!
much love mango.
